Punta Cana, Here We Come!

Posted by Unknown at 3:03 PM 4 comments
HELLO!

So, it's official. I am going to Punta Cana, Dominic Republic this June for a week long vacation with the boo<3 I CANNOT wait to sun bathe all day and eat good food! Of course, in order for me to look fabulous and fit by then, I need to be on BEAST MODE and really take my work outs seriously. I wasn't able to work out last week because of the car accident but I got back on track yesterday. I love TURBOFIRE so much because it gives you a weekly schedule and exactly which work out to do that day.

To find some inspiration, I've been browsing the Health and Fitness section of Pinterest and Tumblr. Seeing pictures of women that are confident with their body and how hard they worked inspire me so so much! I found a pic on Tumblr today that I wanted to share with all of you! ENJOY hehe :)

Prabal Gurung for Target

Posted by Unknown at 2:35 PM 2 comments
Hey guys!

I'm so sorry for not updating at all last week! It's been such a craaaaaazy Spring break. The boyfriend and I went to visit my parents in NY early last week and ended up getting into a REALLY AWFUL car accident. Long story short, my boyfriend's Nissan 350z got totaled and I got sent to the emergency room because of a "hematoma" on my head. It was really scary -- it's a miracle we're alive!

Anyways! I did some shoe shopping over the weekend at Forever 21 and Target. This is my first time purchasing a pair of shoes from Target -- it's from the PRABAL GURUNG collection. I was thrilled to find these babies because it looks so chic and on trend. It may seem very yellow on picture but it's actually lime green in person. Target was having a sale on their shoes so I scored the heels for $27 instead of $40! Here are some pics:

These heels are the PERFECT transition piece for the Spring season! I cannot wait to style these babies with some skinny jeans and a simple top! I love the pop of lime green :) Stay tuned for my Spring lookbook featuring my new sexy heels!

Til then...

Shoes, Shoes, SHOES!!

Hey everyone!

Another beautiful day has gone by and I have a few things I'd like to share with you today. The boyfriend and I went out to run some errands and I managed to score some awesome deals at TJ Maxx. I LOVE going to Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods because I always find great items there for much less. We have a TJ Maxx card so we receive many discounts via mail -- we used a $20 off coupon today :) Anyways, I found a gorgeous pair of studded pumps from Steve Madden and a pair of Dolce Vita oxfords that I absolutely ADORE. In fact, the oxfords are almost identical to my boyfriend's 1901 oxfords! Love ittttt. I love the subtle gray color and the pop of pink on the soles -- been loving the whole color blocking trend lately.

Below are some pics that I took after we got back -- sorry if they're a little dark!

Steven Madden Studded Pumps, $49.99 at TJ Maxx

Dolce Vita Oxfords, $39.99 at TJ Maxx

^I love the pairing between the floral socks and the oxfords! So cute.

I'm such a sucker for shoes. I don't mind spending a few extra bucks on some good quality shoes that are comfortable at the same time!

Where do you guys find your awesome fashion finds? What was the best deal you've come across?
Please, do share!

Karen Walker Eyewear

Karen Walker Sunglasses: Harvest Black

Do any of you lovelies own a pair of Karen Walker sunglasses? If so, do you LOVE them?
I've been thinking about splurging on a pair of these babies ever since I lost my polarized Ray Ban Wayfarers in the ocean last summer :-( I've been using my Tory Burch aviators that I scored at TJ Maxx almost two years ago...I don't think they have been framing my face all that well and since I basically have zero nose, they always kind of slide down my so-called nose bridge lol. Anyways, I fell in love with the Karen Walker sunnies a while ago and I'm saving up my $ to get myself a pair before summer time! I'm still researching to see if they will be the best fit for me so if you have any input - do tell!

I just wanted to share some pics of the sunnies that I've been eyeing for a couple of months :P

^ These are the ones I want! It's called Harvest in black.

They also come in a tortoise shell design, which is beautiful as well <3

Ah, they are just SO divine. This specific model is around $250 - ( I KNOW! So expensive =X) but they are just so beautiful. They look extremely sturdy and well made. I also like that they have the nose pieces to prevent them from sliding....Hopefully I'll be able to save enough $ to treat myself to these babies!

What are your favorite sunglasses? Please give me some recommendations!!

February Favorites

Posted by Unknown at 4:37 PM 6 comments
Hello!

Here are my favorite items for February! I can't believe February is already over -- time is going by way too quickly this year! Hopefully, the weather warms up this month so I can enjoy the outside instead of being cramped up indoors all the time. Anyways, enjoy!

MAYBELLINE'S BABY LIPS
OK - these lip balms are probably the best lip balms I've ever tried. EVER. I usually hate putting on chapstick or any kind of lip gloss because they can get really sticky and crusty after a few hours. When Maybelline launched their new collection of these baby lips, I was in love. My friend, Ange, actually told me about these so I gave them a try and have been addicted ever since! First off, they SMELL delicious (like peaches and apricots lol). Secondly, the texture is extremely smooth and creamy so you don't have to worry about having it dry up on ya! If you see the swatches above, the one to the left (Peach Kiss) is a nude color; it's very transparent but shows just enough color for someone to notice your lips! In other words, it's VERY natural-looking. The one on the right is called Pink Punch and is actually the first one I purchased. This one is obviously more opaque and has a pretty pink color, which is natural-looking as well. I had another red one but I lost it :( I will definitely be repurchasing these babies after I use them all up. They are priced at around $2.99 at Target or any other drugstore.

Everyone and their mom was talking about Soap and Glory's Hand Food so I had to hop on the bandwagon and get it myself. I bought two from Sephora in early February as a gift for a friend and to try it myself. I usually don't use hand lotions at all because I play the violin and it just makes everything slippery but this lotion is the bomb diggity. It has a floral scent, which is actually quite pleasant! The formula of the lotion is NOT thick at all and it blends in super well with your skin. My hands always feel moisturized and healthy after using this lotion. Been absolutely loving this all month!

I took a break on using BB Creams for almost a year so when I ordered the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream last month, I totes fell in love again. I forgot how awesome BB Creams were ...especially the asian ones. I honestly think the BB Creams that are being made in the US are absolute shit. They are so sheer and have no coverage whatsoever. I've used a couple Korean ones in the past and I must say that these are the ones you need to purchase! They have great coverage, evens out your skin tone, blends super well, and it has SPF 42+++ (whatever that means!) Anything that has SPF in it is golden. You're set, lol. I've been using this BB Cream every day in February and still am. You can buy it on Amazon.com for about $18. Enjoy!

OK - Skincare. I ran out of my LUSH moisturizer so I bought this after hearing some great reviews and voi la! Love it so far -- It's super simple and clean w/o any kind of scent. I like that it's for all skin types -- I have oily to combination skin so it seems like a perfect fit for my face. You can buy the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion at Target for about $5.

These Nike Free Run 4.0 sneakers are helping me so much when I work out! Since Turbo Fire requires A LOT of movement, these sneakers do just the job. They are extremely light weight and comfy.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand that it's for my February Faves! I hope ya'll enjoyed this post -- I don't know if my future monthly faves will be this extensive lol. Anyways, TGIF! Enjoy your weekend.

Ellie
